Sunday WIP

I came across this gorgeous pattern on my bloggy friend Cathys blog
http://cathy-blueberrypatch.blogspot.com and just fell in love not only
with the pattern but the color scheme she had used...all those gorgeous
blues, aquas, greens..so pretty!

I have a whole pile of fabrics in these beautiful colors to make this as big as I want with no time limit.  I really would love to have it on my King size bed.  I have alot of work to do on it but since this is my WIP, I can take my time..I can dawdle and move the blocks around as long as I want!

Its hard to find good help these days....

At one of my local quilt shops...well, its not technically "local" meaning nearby but its driveable and I try to get there every 6 weeks or so.  Anyways, its called "Runs with Scissors"....what a great name eh?   Anyways, its a cute store, I go there whenever I am "down that way".  They have an antique baby bathtub that they fill with scraps. You can then fill a brown lunch bag FULL for $6...of great big scrappy yummy fabric pieces!  LOVE IT!  I stuff that bag as full as I can get it...these are mostly the scraps that I have been using for my "Row-a-long"...cute cute stuff...with a little bit of other stuff thrown in.  When I got home from the store I spilled out my loot and Jayden decided to help Ganny sort out our goodies...like the topic says..good help is hard to find!

I just love using scraps up!

This is a quilt that I made from leftovers of one of my Schnibbles quilts.  The funny thing about it is that it was sold to my sons exgirlfriends best friend to give to the exgirlfriend as a wedding gift!  Does that make sense? Did I type it right? Just a little bit awkward!

Anyways, I havent heard whether she liked it or not..I think it turned out great!  Simple but fun and young looking...and in her favorite colors...I just can hope she did like it..I do wish her well.

Bloggy Friends are the BEST!!

Last month I sent some terribly cute milk glass shoes  that I found at my local thrift store to my bloggy friend Cathy in Canada, she loves milk glass and when I asked her if she would be interested in these, she enthusiastically said YES!!  I actually have come to know Cathy through her blog http://cathy-blueberrypatch.blogspot.com/.  She is an awesome gal and it turns out we have alot in common besides sewing such as thrift store shopping and gardening etc...she has been so helpful to me and I am so lucky to have found her and become friends.

So today, I get home from work and I have a package waiting for me from CANADA!!  These are the goodies that Cathy sent me...I am one lucky chickadee!!  Vintage Moda kitty fabrics in 3 different colors, a darling Michael Miller retro print and a Moda Charm pack!  Also, some yummy recipes to try and some patterns...
