A "Push" present?

I'd never heard of a "Push present" before a gal at work asked me to make her a
baby quilt as a "push present" for her friend who was expecting.  I guess
normally it would be a gift from the babys father when the mom
goes into labor, not this time, it was from the labor coach!

So, I whipped up this super quick ladybug quilt, just big strips left to right
and then straight line quilted it..it turned out perfect, they love it!

YAY!

Quilt for my new Grandson!

My son and his wife are expecting their second child in April.
Since my son is a baseball fanatic, of course the
theme for this new little guy is Baseball!

Heres a close up shot showing the Baseball fabric
and my straight line quilting. I added a solid Kona red
and a beautiful rich leather colored brown for contrast.

I am really pleased with how it turned out.  I started it on Friday and
finished it on Saturday, then gifted it on Sunday...and they loved it! Whew!
