Planned Round Robin Reveal!!

Planned Round Robin Reveal Day!!

Months ago Bea over at http://www.beaquilter.com/
had this great idea to do a "Planned Round Robin".  Thats where you make a 12.5" quilt block of your choice
to be your center block and you send it to the first person on your list and they add the first round and so on and so on.  I would then receive another gals block/quilt top and add either 3.5" blocks or 6.5" blocks  to the top or the bottom depending on which month it is.

Heres my starter block...its called "Scrap Attack", you
can find the free pattern over on Craftsy, its a paper pieced block...its pretty fun to make...its Crazy Scrapalicious Deliciousness too which if you know me at all, thats right up my alley!!

Use up those scraps!!

Throw all those crazy fabrics together!

The ladies all did a fantastic job with their choices of what blocks to add and which fabrics to use, I wanted them to use up stash and scraps on this and thats what they did!
It is just what I had hoped it would
turn out to be, a rainbow of Scrappy love!!

My favorite kind of Quilt!!!

Check out my AMAZING QUILT TOP!!

Isnt it pretty laying over this bench?

Heres a shot of the back..it looks like
Quilty stained glass...so pretty!!

A nice sunny shot....loving it!!

A close of of some of the ladies fabulous work....
Hexagons, Hst's, Stars,
Pinwheels...crumb blocks & diamonds!!

I cant tell these gals how happy I am with all the hard work they did, they are all so talented
and I am so grateful!

 Thanks ladies!!

I am loving these Hexis!  Love all this fabulous color!!
So many different neutrals used, Wonderful!!

I think it turned out amazing...I havent decided yet whether I will keep it this size as a wallhanging for my sewing room or be the nut job that I
am and add to it and make a great big Scrap Attack quilt...one never knows what will strike my fancy!!

This planned Round Robin was alot of fun, I really
enjoyed it! It was so fun to receive a different quilt project every month and think of what I wanted to add to it and know exactly what size to make my blocks.

Everyones quilts were all so unique and fun....you've just
got to go over and check them out....

Bea is going to host another Planned Round Robin soon, you can stalk her blog to find out when it will be starting up...meanwhile go on over to

RSC! Saturday Link up!

Its time to link up with Angela over at
SoScrappy for the RSC!

We are still working with our purples this month..love this color!

Heres my fourth block for the month, these
Awesome Wonky Stars, you can find the pattern for these over on www.quiltville.blogspot.com.  Thats Bonnie Hunters Blog, and she has a bunch of wonderful free patterns under her free pattern tab....check it out..

I am doing two of each purple block just because I love purple so much and I need 20 blocks
for a quilt at the end of the year versus just
12, I like a big quilt! Yes, this means I will
need even more blocks of more colors but thats not a problem for me, my scraps are endless!

OMG! I made a bag!

OMG OMG OMG!!

I did it! I made a bag!!

My LQS "High Sierra Quilters" had a class to make this super duper cute

"Strip to the Beach Bag"

Its made with fusible batting and Jelly Roll strips in a quilt-as-you-go method...it was a lot of fun to make and I really learned alot.
I learned to do "french seams" and boxing the corners....and I got to spend the whole day with my crazy LQS owner friend Dougie...and
some wonderful quilty ladies...it was a blast!!

I am very proud of this bag, I cant believe I made it!!  Now if I can just make more for my sisters for Christmas gifts....

Whoop Whoop!

Ritzy Cracker!

Another finish for my friend Julie!!

She made this pretty Ritzy Cracker Quilt for her
new Great Niece, Brooklyn.

Its a nice big size for her to grow with...

She backed it with Lavendar flannel and I longarmed quilted it for her with simple
Loopy Loops...my "go to" pattern!

It really gave it beautiful texture!
Love it!

Beautiful job Julie!

Zig Zag!

My sewing buddy Julie comes over and sews
withme as often as we can get together
and I helped her make this masculine
Zig Zag quilt for her Nephew.

We busted a whole bunch of
black and white scraps and paired it with Kona Chinese Red and some Gray...

Then she used up more scraps making a scrappy border...shes really come a long way with her quilting skills, I think she did a wonderful job
on this one!  I think her nephew will love it!

Heres a close up of my longarm quilting, I did a medium sized Meander/Stipple in gray thread.
It turned out great dont you think??

Great job Julie!

P.S. Now I get to trim and bind it for her!

I am almost scared to mention that the longarm
is up and working right now....dont want
to jinx myself!  Its all because of this Studmuffin
who came up to my house from Meissners Sacramento and helped me tremendously!

Thanks Karl!!

Hallelujah!!!

New project...

I know I know...another new project...
I just cant resist!

I love these Paper Pieced Lonestar blocks...
They are one of my favorite blocks to
make......they use up
scraps like crazy which suits me just fine!

My reasoning for starting this quilt was
my scrap bucket with
all my different colors all bagged
separately...I want to use
large jewel tone scraps for the backgrounds...gold,
blues, greens, purples, wines....

I like how this is looking for far....another
quilt I just might
have to keep...uhhhh ohhhh!!

Its time for the April block in
Pat Sloans Vacation Time BOM.

This months block is called
"Penny Arcade"

Heres my Brown & Aqua version...

Heres a snapshot of all four blocks together...
Its looking good but I think I need to incorporate some more
of the aqua backgrounds to even things out...

Ha! The block in the lower right hand corner is
upsides down...it supposed to look like a
heart...whoops!

These bad boys are 15.5" unfinished!

Its all Nanns fault, she posted hers and I just had
