So proud of this finish!

Its done!  Yay!

Some of you all remember a while back in February, my girlfriend Julie and I took a quilting class to learn how to use the "Quick Curve Ruler".  The pattern we did was
called "Urban Candy". We had a blast taking the class together!

Julie made a quilt for her daughter all in purples...it turned out pretty darn good, this picture will give you an idea of her colors, I cant seem to loaate a picture of the finished quilt!

I did mine in these gorgeous Limes, Blues and Purples for a coworker...

I got it all layed out and pieced finally with some moral support from Julie, some days I dont know what I would do if she wasnt here to sew with me!

Then I got it on the longarm!  I quilted it with my free motion loopy loops, Woot Woot!

Heres the finished quilt....I LOVE IT and so does the recipient!!! The colors are so rich, its just gorgeous!

Beautiful!!!

Jillian, the recipient said she can't wait to wrap herself up in it!  I'm so glad that she loves it as much as I do!

So, just a question for you all.....is it me or does it seem like the bigger a pain in the butt a pattern is, the more you like the quilt when it is done? This always happens to me.....does it happen you to also???

  4. That turned out great! I do think we feel a bigger sense of accomplishment when we are challenged more. Although I have one project that was so, um, challenging that I couldn't wait to gift it and not have to see it any more. Ha!
