First ever quilt on my Longarm

Yep Yep...here it is folks!  I am finally using the Tin Lizzie 18 that I purchased about 4 years ago.  I have never ONCE gotten this machine to work correctly!

While driving home from our trip last week, I decided that enough was enough and picked up the phone to call and see if the longarm guy could come the next day and figure out why this machine doesnt want to work correctly.  He said he could come, so the next day we spent 3 hours tinkering with my Longarm.  He said that we need to order a sensor to get the "Lizzie Stitch" working but he got me going with the manual stitch which is just fine for me, I can do loopy loops and stipple and swirls..perfect!  So, the next day, I spent almost 5 hours loading and quilting this quilt below which is my Scrappy Block Lotto Geese pattern.
I did loopy loops, the thread broke many many times probably because I used a vintage sheet for backing.  But all in all, I think it turned out ok, I am proud of it!

More fighting with the longarm!

Oh this longarm is going to be the death of me!

I loaded my second quilt onto my longarm
that I have had for almost4 years and have only done ONE quilt on!  I fight and I fight and
I cuss out this longarm constantly, its so frustrating!

Its a newer model Tin Lizzie 18.  Since I am waiting
once again for more parts to make the regulated stitch work, I am stuck in manual stitching mode which is fine for loopy loops and stipple and meander...but I cant get the tension right...

So here I was sewing right along thinking it looks great....ON THE TOP...when I advanced the roller,
I was faced with multiple loops and eyelashes (which I think we all know what that looks like!) !!  I ripped out this quilt TWICE!  I detest ripping...I think I have mentioned that before...anyways, I take it one day and one hour at a time.  I will get all 30 of my quilt tops quilted eventually....thats the plan anyways!

And this is why piecing is my favorite part of quilting!  If only I were rich, I could afford to send every last one of my quilt tops to a longarmer...ahhhh well, live and learn!!

Anyone out there have a Tin Lizzie who
has any suggestions for me?

Spider Web!

Amazing Amazing Amazing!!!

You start out with a huge bin of strings
(which by the way doesnt manage to empty)

Then you take these triangles of paper and gluea kite to the middle and add those strings to the sides of
each kite...and you trim, and you trim...
(and throw those trimmings out for the birds of course!)

and you end up with these beautiful blocks
that create this wondeful secondary pattern!!

Theres 16 blocks so far....
I just gotta keep on
trucking along...
You ROCK Bonnie Hunter!
