Well, I was itchin for a finish this weekend and I busted my behind to get some things done...here goes...
My "Streak of Lightening" QAL quilt is finished! This quilt-a-long is by Smazoochies blog. I used Kona chinese red, a Michael Miller coal gray and assorted black and white prints. I spray basted it and stitched it in the ditch along the zig zags. I am so happy with how it turned out. This is a Christmas present for my nephew Leif, hes going to love it!
Next up, I finished another 4 blocks for the Whites/Lights Scrap along color challenge with Victoria on Bumble Beans..this makes 6 blocks done so far. I just love "made" fabric!!
Hope everyone else found time to sew this weekend and enjoyed themselves..its off to work I go tomorrow...
Hugs!
Julianne
Another fun finish so soon! You sew girl!
ReplyDeleteGreat Streak of Lightning quilt - the colors really sing! And I love your whites/lights blocks - I want to try one of these "low volume" quilts soon.
ReplyDeleteOK, I wasn't so sure about the addition of the solid gray, I thought the red was enough. But I was wrong, it turned out great!
ReplyDeletep.s. I don't know if is your layout or my iPad, but your blog shows up super tiny. I'll check it on the big computer.
Congratulations on your finish. It looks great!
