A quilt for Julianne

This is my Great Niece Julianne, my namesake...She lives
in Maryland and I live in California.  I don't get to see her very often but she is always in my thoughts.  She is a great little gal, good in school, girl scouts, loves animals and donates to help horses in need.  Shes a great kiddo!  She even sews!! She sews girl scout patches on vests for $1 a patch and donates the money to help foster horses.

Awesome! I'm so proud!

Oh and by the way, she sews on a Vintage Singer 403!!!

I just finished longarming this quilt top that I made a few years back. I longarmed it with a Lotus flower pantograph, since its a special quilt for my special girl.   This pattern was from a Quilt-a-long by Melissa Corry of Happy Quilting.  I actually made two, the other one was a patriotic version.  They both turned out great!  This one will be going to little Julianne for Christmas this year.  Its 90x90, so nice and big to fit on her bed and last her for quite a while.  I just know she is going to love it!

Now that this one is done, I have a pile of new fabrics called "Isabella" for my other Great niece Isabella that I am going to sew into the same pattern for her for Christmas.  I think its a great pattern for young girls that they can grow with and enjoy, I can just picture these two nieces of mine cuddled up reading with these quilts...Yay!

Better get back to it!
