Last year for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2014, I
made Churn Dash blocks each month...I decided
to sash the blocks and use extra scraps of 3 1/2" blocks
for cornerstones..
Then when I went to put them all together of course I didnt think
it was big enough and I dont really care for a
square quilt...so I made 8 more blocks to spread the color around a little bit...
This is the back...love how it gives a stained glass look!
Heres a close up of a few of the blocks...I lost some points...argh..
I am still learning how to trim those darn Hst's...I'm getting there!
Thanks for stopping by!
I like, I like!
ReplyDeleteSo very pretty. I love the colors and materials you used.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful quilt top . . . great idea to use the corner stones in scrappy colors!
ReplyDeleteGreat scrappy rainbow quilt!
ReplyDeleteThat came out great. It reminds me I have a churn dash top waiting for quilting from last year too....
ReplyDeleteYeah! You've got your RSC14 challenge top together. Looks great with the cornerstones adding that pop of colour.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I'm SO impressed that your RSC14 blocks have ALREADY been turned into a quilt top... I need to take a lesson from you. :o))
ReplyDeleteIt's joyful! With all your critters, you're probably joyful too. LeeAnna at not afraid of color
