At one of my local quilt shops...well, its not technically "local" meaning nearby but its driveable and I try to get there every 6 weeks or so. Anyways, its called "Runs with Scissors"....what a great name eh? Anyways, its a cute store, I go there whenever I am "down that way". They have an antique baby bathtub that they fill with scraps. You can then fill a brown lunch bag FULL for $6...of great big scrappy yummy fabric pieces! LOVE IT! I stuff that bag as full as I can get it...these are mostly the scraps that I have been using for my "Row-a-long"...cute cute stuff...with a little bit of other stuff thrown in. When I got home from the store I spilled out my loot and Jayden decided to help Ganny sort out our goodies...like the topic says..good help is hard to find!
Teach them while they are young, you might not see them when they get older. What a cute helper you have. Start her young on creating great things.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness what a precious grand baby! Looks like a little quilter in the making to me :) I love that little ones can enjoy our quilting too. In other hobbies the items we use might be too dangerous but with quilting our fabrics are soft and colorful and perfect for little ones to discover and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh that's a cool idea of scrap finding! Love it! & the help is rather cute!
ReplyDeleteI think she is a quilter in the making. I know my young grandson loves to sit in my lap and watch while I am sewing and my granddaughters will just stand in awe of the needle going up and down. Enjoy them while you can
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so cute.
